Attorneys Jay Tiftickjian and Adrienne Bershinsky will lecture to the Colorado Bar Association on December 2. The seminar, titled “Navigating the New DUI Laws,” includes an overview of Colorado’s DUI laws as they pertain to driver’s license revocations.
The seminar will focus on the new DUI laws that went into effect this summer and that will go into effect on January 1, 2014. Included are the new THC presumptive limits and revised driver’s license revocation rules, such as early reinstatement for refusal and multiple offender cases, the new persistent drunk driver limits, ignition interlock requirements, and the retroactive application to current cases. Sample reinstatement letters and forms for practical use by judges and lawyers will be distributed.

Adrienne Bershinsky, Esq., is an up-and-coming star in the DUI world. She graduated cum laude from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law and interned at the National Criminal Defense College and the Federal Defender’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia. Bershinsky has lectured on DUI law to the State’s criminal defense bar and co-authored the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar’s charts regarding DUI sentencing and driver’s license revocations.
Tiftickjian and Bershinsky have been asked to present on the new DUI laws to the Adams County Bar Association and the Douglas County Public Defender’s Office in November. They also recently presented to the Weld County Chapter of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar.
