If there was ever any question, a bizarre sequence of events in Florida shows that anyone can be arrested for a dui.
Within the space of only six months, three different judges from Broward County, Florida, were all arrested on driving charges.
In November of 2013, Judge Cynthia Imperato was arrested for a DUI in her white Mercedes-Benz after a fellow motorist called 911 to report that she nearly sideswiped him twice and was “all over the road.” According to reports, the judge refused to exit her vehicle after the stop, stating that she was attempting to call her attorney.
Judge Gisele Pollack was arrested on May 1, 2014, after a car crash, and charged with four counts of DUI. She was subsequently suspended by the Supreme Court of Florida for allegedly violating the code of judicial conduct.
On May 27, 2014, Judge Lynn Rosenthal was arrested on a DUI charge after her BMW allegedly struck a police cruiser in the courthouse parking lot – her second collision of the day. She is apparently raising the “Ambien defense.”
